Secaucus is one of the most underrated towns in Hudson County. Wrapped by the Hackensack River and the Meadowlands, it is full of marsh trails, river parks and hometown events, plus easy shopping and a direct train hub. Here are our favorite things to do in Secaucus. For more riverfront walks around the county, see our guide to the best waterfront parks in Hudson County for fall.
Laurel Hill Park
This Hudson County park is home to Snake Hill, a volcanic rock formation more than 150 million years old that juts about 150 feet into the sky. Walk the river’s edge, launch a kayak onto the Hackensack River or catch a game on the lighted fields, including the county’s only lighted synthetic cricket field.
