A Relaxed Race for the Whole Family
This is a holiday tradition, not a pressure cooker. Shirts are included with registration, strollers are welcome and the race is not chip timed. Instead, a large clock at the finish line shows your time, so you can still chase a personal best if you want one. The 1 mile fun run an hour earlier is a great way to get kids involved before the main event.
About the Park
Bayonne County Park, officially Stephen R. Gregg Park, sits on the east bank of Newark Bay and opened in 1916. It has a waterfront promenade, wide paths and plenty of green space for warming up and cooling down. Learn more about it in our guide to Hudson County waterfront parks.
Race Day Tips
- Register before November 15 to lock in the lower prices
- Arrive early so you have time to find check-in by the bathrooms inside the park
- Dress in layers, since late November mornings by the water can be chilly
- Bring the family: the fun run starts at 9 a.m. and strollers are welcome in the 5K
