Holiday shopping season starts on the Hoboken waterfront this weekend. The Main Street Pops Artisan Market sets up on the Pier A Walkway in Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with local makers, live music and family activities along the Hudson River.

It is the final regular monthly market of the 2026 season before the organizer’s three December holiday markets, so it is a good chance to get a head start on gifts while the weather still cooperates.

Main Street Pops Artisan Market Details

What to Expect at the Market

Main Street Pops describes its Hoboken market as a curated collection of handcrafted goods from local talent, followed by live music, themed activities and family fun. The organizer has run the Hoboken Artisan Market since 2019, and this year it has popped up at two spots in town: the 770 Jackson Street Plaza at the Monroe Center and the Pier A Walkway.

The organizer calls the market Hoboken’s creative heartbeat and a community celebration. This month’s Pier A location puts it right on the river, so you can browse booths and then take a walk along the waterfront.

The 2026 Hoboken Market Schedule

According to the official Main Street Pops 2026 schedule, the season ran on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.:

  • April 12: Pier A Walkway
  • May 10, June 14 and July 12: 770 Jackson Street Plaza
  • August 9: Pier A Walkway
  • September 13 and October 11: 770 Jackson Street Plaza
  • November 8: Pier A Walkway

After that, the market expands for the holidays on Sundays, December 6, 13 and 20. Locations and vendor details for those dates are in our guide to holiday markets in Hudson County.

Make It a Hoboken Arts Weekend

The market lands on the same weekend as the 45th annual Hoboken Artist Studio Tour, a free, self guided citywide walking tour that runs Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to the City of Hoboken. The market opens an hour before the studios do, so you can shop the waterfront first and then head inland to tour venues such as Monroe Center, Neumann Leathers and the Hoboken Historical Museum (hours vary by venue). See venues and the opening reception in our Hoboken Artist Studio Tour guide.

Tips for Your Visit

  • Bring a tote bag for your finds and dress in layers, since the river breeze on the walkway can feel cooler than the forecast.
  • Come early for the best selection of one of a kind pieces.
  • Stick around after shopping for the live music and family activities the organizer promotes.
