Farmers market season does not end with the first chilly morning in Hudson County, NJ. Several markets in Jersey City and Hoboken keep going into November and even late December, with apples, root vegetables, baked goods, flowers and holiday treats. Our team checked the 2026 schedules posted by the markets and the farm that runs several of them, so here is where to shop fresh and local as the year winds down.
Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market
Where: Grove Street PATH Plaza, Jersey City
When: Mondays and Thursdays, 3 to 7 p.m.
Run by the Historic Downtown Special Improvement District, this market has been operating for more than a decade, and its season stretches into late December. Expect fresh produce, pies, cookies, flowers and local goods. According to the 2026 market schedule from Stony Hill Farms, the Monday market runs through December 21 and the Thursday market runs through December 17, weather permitting. It is right at the PATH, so it is an easy stop on the way home from work.
Hamilton Park Farmers Market
Where: 8th Street between McWilliams Place and West Hamilton Place, Jersey City
When: Wednesdays, 4 to 7 p.m., through December 23
The Hamilton Park market brings the farm to one of Downtown Jersey City’s prettiest parks every Wednesday evening. The Stony Hill Farms schedule lists the 2026 season through Wednesday, December 23, which makes it a great place to pick up produce for holiday cooking.
Riverview Farmers Market
Where: Riverview-Fisk Park, Palisade Avenue between Bowers and Griffith Streets, Jersey City Heights
When: Sundays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., through November 22
Up in the Heights, the Riverview market brings Sunday shopping to a neighborhood park on top of the Palisades. The 2026 season wraps up on Sunday, November 22, so you have three more Sundays after this guide goes live: November 8, 15 and 22.
Uptown Hoboken Farmers Market
Where: Under the 14th Street Viaduct, between Grand and Adams Streets, Hoboken
When: Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through December 19
Hoboken’s Saturday market is organized by the Hoboken Farmers Market, brought to you by the Hoboken Quality of Life Coalition. The 2026 vendor list includes Stony Hill Farms produce, Cotton Cattle Co. grass-fed meats, Hoboken Farms sauces and mozzarella, Choc O Pain French bakery, Florasylva cut flowers and Scale Fish Market. The market says the Saturday market features live music, and leashed dogs are welcome. Stony Hill’s schedule lists the season through December 19.
What About the Tuesday Hoboken Market?
Hoboken’s Tuesday market at Church Square Park, 400 Garden Street, runs from 2 to 7 p.m. with vendors like Melick’s Town Farm, Valley Shepherd cheese and Zell’s Farm mushrooms. Its 2026 page does not list a closing date, so check the market’s site before you head over.
Tips for Shopping Late-Season Markets
- Bring a tote and layers. Evening markets get cold fast after sunset.
- Order ahead. Stony Hill offers online ordering with pickup at many of its market locations, and lists holiday turkeys in its online store.
- Watch the weather. Late-season dates are weather permitting, so check before you go on a stormy day.
- Shop for gifts. Local honey, jams, sauces and baked goods make easy host gifts for Thanksgiving.
